Pleon Teams with EACD to Promote International Account Management

The European Association of Communications Directors (EACD) recently invited Pleon to assist with an educational programme for its members on the subject of international account management. Mike Copland, Director of International Partner Relations for Pleon and Chairman Pleon UK, authored a briefing paper outlining the essential steps in building and implementing effective international communications programmes.

"Communicating across borders is taken for granted among communications professionals today, said Copland.  "Yet it is surprising how often the marketing and communications teams are expected to 'go international' with little prior experience or guidance."

Copland's paper helps to fill this gap by addressing topics such as managing executive expectations, balancing the use of agencies with in-house staff, understanding cultural barriers and the art of communicating with communicators.
