Pleon goes for MunichHans-Jürgen Croissant joins German PR market leader as new partner – Substantial expansion planned in Munich
Duesseldorf, 28 September 2005. Pleon, Germany’s market-leading PR and public affairs agency, is pressing ahead with development at its Munich office. Since Pleon Kohtes Klewes and Pleon Healthcare merged in January, the customer base has been extended considerably. Munich has developed strategically relevant practices such as change communications and internal communications in addition to handling reputation management for the entire Pleon Group. In order to both step up and manage the pace of development, Hans-Jürgen Croissant, 40, a locally and nationally recognised industry veteran, has been named as a Pleon partner.
“In Germany we aim to be best wherever we are located and to provide our clients with real added value, which includes national and local competence,” said Timo Sieg, Pleon’s CEO in Germany. “Multilateral thinking across business management, politics and communication, is Pleon’s speciality and we believe that our expertise in these areas will lead us to be the number one agency in Munich.”
Croissant first made his mark as chief Press officer at Microsoft Germany. Regarded as a brilliant networker, he is highly respected by colleagues and clients alike. “I really enjoyed my out time after leaving Microsoft,” Croissant said. “We are all delighted we were able to keep the move under wraps as it gave us the opportunity to make necessary preparations at Pleon in peace. I made sure I enjoyed that time as I knew it would be the lull before the storm and I was right: already my appointments book is full until the end of the year.”
Munich, with over 50 consultants, will now be managed jointly by Croissant and European Healthcare manager Michael Patzer. Managing Partner Ralf Langen will head the European Practice Change & Internal Communications along with the ongoing Reputation Management project. Pleon, as always, is focussed on both local competence and European networking, into which Munich is to be more strongly incorporated. In addition to his role as key accountant in Munich, Managing Partner Alexander Fink, previously in charge of corporate business, will help to set up and manage a Munich-Milan axis.
